Including “A Soldier’s Tale”

This special event will feature music from three of Stravinsky’s iconic ballet and theater works: the dazzling Piano Suite from Petrouchka; the neoclassic Suite Italienne from his charming and witty score to Pulcinella; and a fully narrated, choreographed performance of Stravinsky’s seminal theater work, L’Histoire du Soldat, the Faustian tale of a young soldier who makes a deal with the Devil.

Beethoven and Schubert

English pianist Paul Lewis is internationally regarded as one of the most poetic artists of his generation. He will perform three works by Beethoven, including the cherished “Moonlight” Sonata in C# minor, and Schubert’s valedictory Sonata in G Major, which Robert Schumann called “Schubert’s most perfect sonata in form and conception.”

Bach’s Birthday Concert

Celebrate 335th Bach’s birthday with America’s foremost organ virtuoso. The Grammy Award-winning artist will perform highlights from Bach’s towering masterpieces for The King of Instruments, including the famous Toccata and Fugue in D minor, a selection of intimate chorale preludes, and other Bachian favorites.
