English translations of the text will be projected on video screens during the performance.
This Sunday afternoon, January 19 at 3 PM, Parlance Chamber Concerts will present the celebrated English pianist Paul Lewis in a recital of Fantasy Sonatas by Beethoven and Schubert. Internationally regarded as one of the most poetic artists of his generation, Paul Lewis has received unanimous acclaim for his deeply insightful performances of the core piano repertoire. Sunday’s recital will include Beethoven’s cherished “Moonlight” Sonata and Schubert’s sublime Sonata in G, D. 894, which Robert Schumann called “Schubert’s most perfect sonata in form and conception.”
On Sunday afternoon, December 15 at 3 PM, Parlance Chamber Concerts will present music from three of Igor Stravinsky’s iconic, early 20th-century ballet and theater scores: the dazzling Piano Suite from his 1911 ballet, Petrushka; the witty Suite Italienne from the neoclassical score to his 1920 ballet Pulcinella; and a fully narrated and choreographed performance of his seminal 1918 chamber theater work, The Soldier’s Tale, the Faustian story of a young soldier who makes a deal with the Devil.

Acclaimed Piano Duo and NY Philharmonic Members to Perform Zoological Favorites on Parlance Chamber Concerts
This Sunday afternoon, November 4 at 3 PM, Parlance Chamber Concerts will present a Family Concert featuring the charismatic piano duo Alessio Bax and Lucille Chung with eight leading members of the New York Philharmonic. The program will include zoological favorites by Vivaldi, Musorgsky, and Tchaikovsky. The climax of the afternoon will be Camille Saint-Saëns’ beloved children’s classic, Carnival of the Animals.
