Kara LaMoure is bassoonist and Artistic Director of WindSync, one of North America’s most active and acclaimed wind quintets. With WindSync, she has performed on stages including Ravinia, Strathmore, and Chamber Music Northwest and carried out residencies at New World Symphony, Eastman School of Music, University of Texas, and music festivals throughout the United States. LaMoure has performed as a soloist with the San Diego Symphony, ROCO, Caroga Arts Collective and the Eastman Wind Ensemble, and at home in New York City, she is Principal Bassoon with the Chamber Orchestra of New York.
